The media ministry is looking for dedicated people who have computer skills, audio-visual skills, PowerPoint expertise, and web site experience that may be used to keep our media ministry current and relevant to our rapidly changing community.  We will have orientation and training this fall and occasional update meetings to keep current with events at HTUCC.

Teach children's church during Sunday service

Do you love kids?  Are you interested in helping children shape their faith and to know Jesus Christ?  We need adult leaders and role models for our young people.  Each Sunday we spend important time building community and sharing God's love with our children during the worship hour.  We will equip you and offer you guidance to fulfill this vital ministry.

HOSPITALITY AND OUTREACH

MARTHA'S MISSION
Set up fellowship receptions after church service, Serve cake for the monthly celebrations, Set up receptions for special events

Hospitality is a vitally important aspect of all we do at HTUCC.  We are always needing help setting up, cleaning up, and organizing church potluck dinners.  Martha's Mission generally helps in this ministry.  The "Marthas" are known for producing receptions, after-worship socials, occasional wedding receptions, etc.  We can use all the worker bees we can so that the burden does not fall on only a few people.

AGAPE
Conduct visitation for those in the hospital or homebound, Make contacts via phone and email, Organize food support
 

OUTREACH
Participate in the bar ministries via karaoke and shows, Help with the food drive for the University Consortia of Churches

Do you know many people do not know about Holy Trinity?  Would you be willing to share in outreach to the community, bars, organizations on behalf of HTUCC?  Share your faith in a loving God?  We need ambassadors to share the good news of Jesus Christ!

ADVOCACY
Help with activities supporting Memphis Pride, Work with HTUCC and the other " Welcoming Churches " in Memphis

Do you have a desire to do your part in making the world a better place?  Would you write letters to the editor?  Keep your church informed of critical issues needing prayer, support, and action?  Work with community organizations promoting equality, fairness, and human rights?  If so, then we need you!

 

FUNDRAISING

KARAOKE

Help with Karaoke at Dru's Place on the Second Friday of each month; the funds raised support the Music Ministry.

Support the Poetry Cafe: Writers read their works while the audience enjoys gourmet coffee, delicious snacks and desserts.

HTUCC holds occasional rummage sales to benefit the church.  Help plan and run the sale or donate items that can be sold.

Building Reclaiming Projects
We are looking for folks to help use prepare the third floor, the parish house, and the kitchen.  Involves cleaning, painting, building, and fixing.

House Hosts
From time to time, we have meetings in church members' homes.  We celebrate baptisms, hold cottage meetings, conduct prayer meetings, host holiday socials, and house traveling visitors to HTUCC.  If you have a house suitable for this ministry, please contact the Church Office.
